Transmission Electron Microscope Service

Inquiry

The transmission electron microscope (TEM) is an electron optical instrument with high resolution and magnification (Figure 1). It takes the electron beams with very short wavelength as the illumination source and focuses the image with electromagnetic lens. TEM is mainly composed of three basic parts: electron optical system, vacuum control system and power supply system.

Creative Biostructure can provide phase analysis and microstructure analysis base on our electron microscope platform. For biological samples, TEM method is widely used to observe the overall structure of the cells or tissues, the changes of the cell membrane and cell wall, the distribution of materials into the cell, or the structure of autophagosomes produced by the cell in response to external stimuli as well as organelles. TEM has been widely used in various fields of natural science, especially in physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, and material science.

(a) Bright-field TEM images on lacey carbon substrates of soot particle (Semeniuk T A, et al. 2007).
(b) Typical TEM morphology of the catalyzed C/C composites with low magnification (Liu Y, et al. 2013).
(c)TEM images of poxviruses (Vale F F, et al. 2010).

With our electron microscope platform, Creative Biostructure can provide the sample preparation and data collection as well as analysis services to meet our customer’s requirements.
