Creative Biostructure has comprehensive platforms and technologies to support a wide range of liposome applications. An emerging value of liposomes is its use as multifunctional auxiliaries in textile industry. Creative Biostructure offers specialized services in liposome design and textile processing.
Why use liposomes in textile processing?
Liposomes can be used in textile pretreatment processing as washing and scouring agents. They are generally stronger detergents in removing contaminants than traditional surfactants. Another advantage is that liposomes have low foam tendency during washing process. In addition, liposomes exhibit strong potential in bleaching. The introduction of liposomes into bleaching bath compositions favors strong deceleration of hydrogen peroxide decomposition, and simultaneously improves properties of fabrics, such as mechanical properties, brightness, softness, load, and elongation at break.
Liposomes can serve as delivery vesicles to transport encapsulated dyes to wool and polyether fibers. Their interaction with wool is affected by liposome absorption and lipid solubilization in wool, which leads to a deeper penetration of the dye to wool fiber. Modification of lipids in liposome may greatly enhance the dyeing efficiency and diffusion properties of wool fiber, resulting in shorter processing time, reduced dyeing temperature and better color stability.

Liposomes can also be used in cosmetotextile, smart textile, and medical textile manufacturing when active agent incorporation is needed. Creative Biostructure offers a full spectrum of services to support your research on liposome-mediated textile processing, including:
